Contrary to the propaganda of commercial interests, you can get your beans from a bag of good cannabis, just make sure that they are not pale, shriveled, cracked, or deformed. In fact they should be (to reverse the statement) dark, round, shiny, and uniform shape, with a slight indentation at one end, and pointed at the other         They range from green in color to black, striped or without, spots, tiny or even big and fat looking. If you find some herb that you like with seeds in it, go ahead and use them, since you already have an idea what the end smoke is like, so that makes a great starting point. If you plant 20 or so, you should end up with enough females to get a nice starter crop. ( if you saved all the seeds from one kind of bud in its own container, you get to have some fun with breeding) Just plant them 1/2" deep pointed end up in a 6" pot filled with 50/50 mix of Perlite and potting soil, or in a 1" Rockwool cube.
