Run the fan in your darkened closet until the outside of the buds begin to seem dry, then turn the fan off, and trim the fan leaves.

The branches can be hung upside down over coat hangers in a dark cool closet with a small circulating fan.

Smaller loose buds can be placed in a box layered with newspaper between single rows to prevent mold and help slowly dry the plant material out.  Sealer Jars work even better.

Here's the Rule: The longer it takes to dry the better the cure, and the more pleasant the flavor.

Using a sealed container like a plastic square tote box with a lid, place the semi-dry branches inside in rows separated by paper. make sure that the buds are place loosely together, so that air can freely circulate inside the container.

Use newsprint to provide separation between  rows. The porous paper will help soak up some of the moisture in the buds, and keep the humidity right for curing. (note: newspaper inks can be toxic...)

Close the curing box, and allow the buds to completely soften, about 24 hours. Upon opening the box, you may note the blotting paper being quite damp. Leave the box open for a few hours, or until the buds start to stiffen again, and the paper has dried out.

Re-close the box to re-equalize the moisture. Repeat this process, until the buds are dry enough to snap the stems, and then seal inside glass jars.
